NCB Area No.5 Fishing Club
Mapperley Reservoir
A scenic 21-acre reservoir in Derbyshire, also known as Mapperley Pond, was constructed in 1820 to feed the Nutbrook Canal. It holds a special place in fishing history, Albert Buckley landed a record-breaking carp here on 24th July 1930. Today it is one of the club's flagship waters, offering excellent sport for carp and bream anglers. The reservoir supports a thriving mix of species, with outstanding pike fishing through the winter months.
